The Original Arm Rest is an ergonomic interface designed to enhance the computer user's environment. Users who have the flexibility to individually adjust the way they work will be comfortable and more productive. Rapid, repetitive movements that are typical while using a computer mouse, trackball or keyboard, often result in awkward posture. Such movements contribute to muscular tension, pain and may lead to the development of serious problems. The Original Arm Rest encourages correct posture for computer users. It can provide relief from fatigue, neck pain and shoulder discomfort, as well as reducing wrist and elbow strain. Practicing proper operating posture can also help to prevent repetitive strain injuries.

The Original Arm Rest is a flexible forearm support for comfortable and productive computer use. It is simple to attach to a work surface and is easy to adjust and use. No clamps or tools are required to properly position it for maximum comfort.

The Original Arm Rest fits easily over the edge of the work surface as shown. The plastic bumper protedts the edge of the work surface while vinyl tubing and a ruvbber tip hold the unit firmly in position.

When using the arm rest with a mouse or trackball, it should be positioned in front of the mouse pad or work area. The most comfortable position is achieved by moving the unit laterally to the right or left until the shoulder is level. The forearm can rest directly on or across the pad as long as comfortable support is provided.

Two arm rests are required for keyboard use. They are positioned on the worksurface or tray to support both arms with the forearms crossing the pads. The arm rests may be placed on slight angles to achieve maximum comfort.

Extenders that increase the depth of the cantilever are provided with each unit to permit usage on work surfaces greater than 1 1/2" thickness. The urethane fabric covering the armrest is soft, durable, non-allergenic and can be wiped clean with mild soap and water.
